Chamber Music Immersive
Chamber Music Immersive is a new program for the Chamber Music of the Ozarks to invite more students and local amateur musicians to play chamber music. The rehearsals will take place June 12-14, with an hour of rehearsal and an hour of events (such as workshops on related topics, masterclass, etc) each day. There will be a concert on Saturday June 15th 7:00pm featuring all ensembles who participate in the Chamber Music Immersive.
Each group will have a mentor artist who will perform as a member of the ensemble or attend every rehearsal. He/she will facilitate discussions, focus on important musical ideas and lead the rehearsals. The goal is to elevate the level and awareness of chamber music playing. Each group should strive for meaningful rehearsals, digging into musical interpretations, nuances and communication. It is expected that you come prepared; your part learned, have done score study or listened to recordings, and with some of your own interpretation of the piece. The rehearsal time can be used mainly to discuss, try various interpretations and to make musical decisions as a group.
